About me...

I'm passionate about great design and I love working with growing and established fashion brands.  Over the years I’ve developed an extensive technical knowledge of sweater knits, embroidery, and print design.  I've also cultivated a keen instinct for trends and a good eye for composition and color; these are essential in assorting a product line that's on-trend and   well-balanced.  As a result, I've got a proven track record of increasing sales at the companies I’ve worked for. 

 

I’ve worked for top brands and retailers on a wide range of projects and have acquired a deep understanding of the expectations and needs of fashion brands.  Clients know that they can depend on me to really listen to their challenges and be responsive, and to deliver projects that are on target, organized, and on schedule.

In addition to this consulting and freelance business, networking and mentorship are other professional pursuits that are close to my heart:

• I teach and lecture at various universities and have mentored countless young designers and interns. 

• I am the founder and design director for Polychrome, a print and trend studio that promotes the work of dozens of artists and designers from around the world.   

• I run a vibrant networking group for fashion professionals - Apparel Designers Network.

When I'm not working, I’m usually enjoying a film or meal with family and friends, getting lost in a museum, reading on a beach, or hiking in the woods.
